Florida Friendly Fertilizer Use on Urban Landscapes

The City’s fertilizer ordinance is designed to help protect our local surface and groundwater quality. Excess nutrients, particularly nitrogen and phosphorus, can enter waterways through runoff and contribute to seasonal algae blooms.

Tree City USA : 40+ years

The City of Plantation was named a 2025 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of its commitment to effective urban forest management. The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters.  The City has been designated as a Tree City USA for over 40 years.
