Notice to Residents: Fluoride Discontinuation in Potable Water

To comply with the State of Florida Legislation requirement (Senate Bill 700), the City of Plantation will discontinue the addition of fluoride to its drinking water supply beginning July 1, 2025.

Please be assured, this change will not affect the safety or quality of your drinking water. The City’s Utilities Department remains committed to providing high quality drinking water and will continue to diligently monitor the water quality to ensure compliance with all state and federal drinking water standards.

We encourage all customers within our service area to remain proactive in maintaining oral health. If you have questions or concerns about fluoride or your dental health, we recommend consulting your dentist, pediatrician, or healthcare provider. Additional resources are available through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

For information on the City’s annual drinking Water Quality Report, please visit Plantation.org/Utilities. The report is available on our website in English, and Spanish and contains a summary of the quality of the drinking water we produce and deliver throughout our entire service area.

Aviso a los Residentes: Suspensión de Fluoruro en el Agua Potable

Para cumplir con el requisito de la legislación del Estado de Florida (Proyecto de Ley del Senado 700), la Ciudad de Plantation dejará de añadir fluoruro a su suministro de agua potable a partir del 1 de Julio de 2025.

Tenga la certeza, de que este cambio no afectará la seguridad ni la calidad de su agua potable.
