Recycling Guidelines
Recycling in the City of Plantation is voluntary but strongly encouraged to reduce trash and lower residential waste costs. Non-multifamily residents (single-family homes, townhouses, duplexes and triplexes — except properties in Plantation Acres and Melaleuca Isles) must use the City’s clear recycling bags.
Collection Services: Place your clear recycling bag curbside on your scheduled pickup day; collection runs once weekly beginning at 7:00 AM (normally finished by 7:00 PM) with no services on Sunday or Christmas.

Recycling Guidelines
Single-Stream Recycling (effective Oct. 1, 2009)
Plantation uses a single-stream system: ALL recyclables may be placed together in one clear recycling bag. Please rinse containers and remove caps — If caps are not removed, waste is considered contaminated and cannot be recycled.
