How do I get rid of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) or Electronics?

Take them to Win-Waste Innovations in Davie or to quarterly HHW Drop off events. Quarterly drop-off events are held at Public Works and also at the City of Sunrise in addition to Win-Waste Innovations in Davie on specified Saturdays.

How do I report a dead animal in the road?

Call the Public Works Department 954-452-2535. The issue will be called into Animal Rangers unless on private property or a private road.
How do I report a street light that is out?

Call the Public Works Department if the light pole is Black or Green Decorative at 954-452-2535. Any Concrete/Wooden street light pole please contact FPL - FPL Street Light Concerns
Who do I call if I have a damaged or lifted sidewalk?

Call the Public Works Department at 954-452-2535. Public Works will have the sidewalk inspected and scheduled for repair.
Who do I call if I have a question or problem with my water bill?

Call the Utilities Billing Department at 954-797-2290.
Who do I call if I need an Additional/Replacement toter cart?

For Replacement or Damaged Carts Call Waste Management at 954-974-7500, they will be able to assist you with more information about toter carts.

For Additional Carts Call Public Works at 954-452-2535.
Who do I call if my bulk was not picked up?

Call the Public Works Department at 954-452-2535. Public Works will take the information and send it to the Waste Management Bulk Supervisor to investigate. Pictures are also sent of the tagged piles from the bulk company. Must be out prior to 7:00am.
Who do I call if my garbage or recycling was not picked up?

Call Waste Management at 954-974-7500. Calling Waste Management allows WM to track whether their bags were out at the proper time alleviating their drivers of getting into trouble for missed pick ups. Must be out prior to 7:00am.
Who do I call if my street is flooded?

Call the Engineering Department at 954-797-2282. Engineering will have a drainage crew investigate the cause of the clogged drain.
Who do I call if there is a pot hole in the road?

Call the Public Works Department at 954-452-2535. Public Works will have them repaired as soon as we are notified as long as it is not a private street.
Who do I call to get my swale trees trimmed?

Call the Public Works Department at 954-452-2535. A service request will be created for the trees to be evaluated by our arborist and put on the schedule to be trimmed.
Who handles the construction and debris removal?

Under the City’s franchise ordinance, ONLY franchised firms may collect C&D within the City. For additional details and a list of the authorized firms, click here.
