The Media Relations Unit serves as the primary liaison between the police department and the community, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent communication.

Comprised of the Strategic Communications Officer and Public Information Officers, the unit manages all internal and external messaging, media relations, and social media outreach.

The Strategic Communications Officer oversees the department’s communication strategy, guiding both internal communications and public-facing narratives to maintain community trust and organizational consistency.

Public Information Officers work directly with the media to provide updates on incidents, departmental initiatives, and critical information, reinforcing the department’s commitment to transparency and public engagement.
