The General Services Division provides essential administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the police department. This division is responsible for overseeing critical internal functions while ensuring compliance with internal controls and departmental policies to maintain accountability and operational readiness. The General Services Division includes the following units:


Off Duty Detail Requests: The Plantation Police Department offers the business community and private citizens the ability to hire a Plantation Police Officer for an off-duty detail as long as the event is located within the City of Plantation.  Additionally, certain events within the City of Plantation require the hiring of an off-duty detail for permit approval.   The hiring and scheduling of an off-duty detail officer is coordinated by Off Duty Detail Administrator, Deetra Council.

If interested in hiring an off-duty detail Please click on this link to fill out the off-duty detail application and view current detail rates as well as off duty detail terms and conditions.   A 2.65% convenience fee will apply to all online credit card payments.  The Off-Duty Detail Administrator will email resident/business owner (same day if during the business hours Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) that the application has been received with further instructions.
