Here are instructions to help you successfully create an account to apply for a Vacation Rental license, and Certificate of Compliance, and to upload documents, submit an application online, or to pay any associated fees.

Step 1 - Create Your Account

Go to www.plantation.org
Hover over to the Doing Business tab
Click on Local Business Tax Receipt
Scroll down the page & go to Important Messages:click on the Citizen Access Portal
Click on the tab:Planning & Zoning
Click on:Create an application
Click on:Register Now
Please read the General Disclaimer and click on I have read and accepted the above terms
Click on Continue to Registration box

Step 2 - Application Process

Type in your: Login Information (email address, password)
Click on: Add New. Enter contact information.
- Select: Continue
Under Contact Information, click on: Continue Registration
Hover over: Planning & Zoning. Click on: Create an application
Read: General Disclaimer. Check box: I have read and accepted the above terms
Select: Vacation Rentals
- Click: Short Term Vacation Rental
- Click: Continue Application
Enter address of property & click on: Search Parcel number and owner information will be auto-entered. Select: Continue application
Applicant: Select: Add New (Enter contact information of person who is filing registration) Select: Continue
Vacation Rental Owner: Select: Add New (Enter the Vacation Rental Owner’s Information not the property manager’s) Select: Continue
Property Manager: Select: Add New (Indicate the property manager’s information; if you do not have one then indicate the owner information) Select: Continue
Select: Continue Application
Billing: Select: Add New (Indicate where mail or correspondence should be forwarded to) Select: Continue
Business: Select: Add New (indicate the property address of the Vacation Rental) Select: Continue
Business Owner: Select: Add New (indicate the property owner’s Home Address) Select: Continue
Select: Continue Application
Custom Fields: COMPLETE ALL FIELDS ON THIS PAGE TO PROCEED
Select: Continue Application
Agent: Enter info for agent or representative Select: Continue
Review all data for accuracy
Go to the bottom of the page and make sure this has been selected: By checking this box, I agree to the above certification.
Select: Continue Application
Select: Upload Plans and Documents (THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO UPLOAD THE REQUIRED DCUMENTATION) Make sure your documentation is in a PDF format for uploading
Click: Browse (middle of the page – load your PDF documentation)
Select a Document Type: (There is a drop-down arrow to review all types)
Select: Upload and Validate (THIS WILL UPLOAD YOUR DOCUMENT INTO THE RECORD)
- Important: Please see required documents list at the top right-hand side of the page – These are required documents that must be uploaded for the record to progress
Select: Continue
Scroll down to bottom of page & Select: Finish
You have now successfully created an application. At the top of the page you will see indicated: “Success” & below the Record: VR26-XXXX will appear.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS THIS WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH INFORMATION AS TO THE STATUS OF YOUR RECORD AND HOW YOU SHOULD PROCEED.
