Impact Fees
NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF UPDATED DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEES
90-Day Public Notice
On June 24, 2026, the Plantation City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-005, which repeals and replaces Article IV (Impact Fees) of Chapter 19 of the City Code and adopts updated development impact fees for the City. The ordinance also adopts the City of Plantation Development Impact Fee Justification Study, prepared by DTA Public Finance, Inc., dated June 12, 2026, as the basis for the revised impact fees.
The updated impact fees apply to the following public facility categories:
- General Government
- Police
- Fire
- Library/Museum
- Parks and Recreation
- Transportation
Consistent with Section 163.31801, Florida Statutes, the ordinance implements the updated impact fees through a four-year statutory phase-in schedule.
The revised impact fees will become effective 90 days following adoption of the ordinance, on September 22, 2026, and will apply to development subject to the City’s Impact Fee Ordinance on and after the effective date.
