Below is a map and alphabetical list of all Plantation owned and operated parks. All park facilities within the City of Plantation are for its residents’ use. Individuals wishing to obtain a permit for a group’s use of the facilities should contact the Department of Parks and Recreation at 954-452-2510. For information on Broward County Parks within the City, please visit the Broward County Parks & Recreation website. Unless otherwise noted, parks are open dawn to dusk.

General Park Rules

Park Rules with Lightning Prediction System

In order to make your visit to the park more enjoyable, the following are prohibited in the park:

Animals
Golfing
Alcohol
Motor Vehicles
Glass Containers
Fishing
Swimming
Solicitation

No overnight parking - State Statute 715.07

Fields used by permit only for organized practices or games.

This park is monitored by a lightning prediction system.

Seek Shelter if you hear one 15-second horn or if you see flashing strobe light.

Resume activity when you hear three 5-second horn blasts, or if the strobe light is not flashing.

Happy Tails Dog Park Rules

These rules only apply to Happy Tails Dog Park. Dogs are NOT permitted in any other City parks.

This park has been created for the recreation of man's best friend. Please be responsible so that all users can enjoy this facility.

Dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting the dog park.
Carry a leash with you at all times.
Stay within view of your dog at all times.
Never leave your dog unattended.
All dogs must be vaccinated and license must be visible.
Owners MUST clean up after their dogs.
At first sign of aggression, remove dog from park.
No female dogs in heat allowed in the park.
Keep gates closed.
No glass containers in the park.
Children under the age of 12 must stay with an adult at all times. Do not permit them to approach strange dogs without the owner's permission.
Please call the Plantation Police Department at (954) 797-2100 if you encounter any dangerous situations.

Splash Pad Rules

In order to make your visit to the park more enjoyable, please follow the splash pad rules:

No food or beverages in pool or on pool wet deck
Water shoes are required and must be worn at all times
No glass within 50 feet of the water features area
No pets or animals in parks (See Happy Tails Dog Park)
No running in the play area
Shower before entering the play area
Do not swallow the fountain water, it is recirculated
Do not use pool if you are ill with diarrhea

The Plantation Arboretum & Botanical Garden is home to over 50 species of trees and palms native to Florida and around the world. A center path directs the eye and movement through the middle of the site while an undulating pathway separates the trees into different groves.

There is a Lignum Vitae commemorative tree, a palm grove, a flowering tree grove, a fruit grove, a giant tree collection and a native tree grove under development.

The site is artistically and musically enhanced by the artwork of Ross Barrable, a Colorado artist and harpist and creator of the garden’s Windharp. The strength of the wind that passes through the strings moderates the sound generated by the harp perched high above the steel pedestal. The gardens also feature a playground and exercise stations.

The City’s MURT (Multi-Use Recreational Trail) system runs through the Botanical Gardens and a steel bridge at the far west end connects the gardens with the NW 5th Street/NW 65th Avenue trail head.
