Utilities Employees |
When you see a utilities employee working around the City she or he may be doing a variety of health, safety or maintenance tasks. Utilities employees inspect and repair fire hydrants, replace water meters, maintain lift stations, locate our lines for other agencies that intend to work within common easements and sample the water quality throughout the system. We may obtain water samples (100 milliliters or 3.4 ounces) from your outside spigot to check on the quality of water, or, we may be out locating the hundreds of valves that allow us to quickly isolate and repair water and wastewater lines. Our field maintenance crews are on call 24 hours a day to ensure the safe, continuous water and waste water service through out the City. All of our employees are schooled and experienced and dedicated to making Plantation Utilities the finest utility anywhere.
