The seven member Plantation Gateway Advisory Board was created in 1990, to advise the Plantation Gateway Board of Directors, which is also the City Council, on how to spend monies generated within the Plantation Gateway special taxing district. Made up of property owners within the Plantation Gateway Redevelopment District, the board also provides input on the redevelopment of the District and represents local businesses and property owners in conveying information to City staff and the Board of Directors. The Advisory Board meets every other month on the second Thursday of the month at 12:00 Noon at the CRA office, located at 307 S. State Road 7. Dates for meetings for the remainder of 2008 are as follows:

The Advisory Board is made up of the following members:

- Mark Brown, M.A.R.K.D. Corp (IHOP)
- Dwight Brady, Hondatech of South Florida
- Jeff Burley, B&B Interior Systems, Inc.
- Brian Hodgers, Complete Choice Insurance
- Barbara Simmons, Plantation General Hospital
- One position vacant
