Let our Pub Ed team help refresh the fire safety messages you learned in school and make you aware of those issues which are common to older adults.

Summer time in Florida is hot. What better way for kids to cool off than being soaked by a fire hose. The Pub Ed team is available to come out to your camp, pre-school, or large event to perform wet downs for the young ones. And, if the event is big enough, ask about a special visit by Sparky!

Is your home fire safe?
The Plantation Fire Department offers a voluntary, non-regulated survey of your home to help you identify potential hazards and offer suggestions on how to correct them. This program is completely voluntary, non-binding, and presented strictly for your education and benefit.
One of our Fire and Life Safety professionals will survey your home and property, along with you, point out areas of concern and offer suggestions on how to reduce or eliminate the risks. They will provide you with a written checklist of their suggestions and Fire Department literature which will help explain the situations in greater detail.
