The cost for a lien search placed on a property by the City of Plantation is $35 per folio number. For each search requested, send us the folio number (located on the Real Estate Notice of Taxes in the left hand corner box titled “Property Identification No.”), property address, current owner’s name, a check for $35 payable to the City of Plantation, a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) and your facsimile number. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for processing. Once the search is complete, we will fax the results to you for expediency. We will also mail you the original in your SASE.

Only liens placed by the City of Plantation will be shown. Some examples of liens are: Code Enforcement, Lot Mowing, State Housing Initiatives Partnership, Sidewalk Repair, Special Assessment, Unsafe Structures and Water/Sewer Bill Outstanding.

When all liens are paid, the City of Plantation will prepare a Release of Lien and record it at the Broward County Records Division, located at 115 S. Andrews Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301 at the corner of Broward Boulevard and South Andrews Avenue.
