Residential Medical Waste Disposal

bottlePrescriptions should be sealed up with tape and placed into your blue garbage bag.  Never flush medications down the toilet or sink.  It will contaminate the drinking water supply.

Note:  Periodically, the Plantation Police Department will team up with the Drug Enforcement Administration to host a Drug Take Back Event.  This one day effort is to remove potentially dangerous prescription drugs from the neighborhood, waterways, and surrounding area, as well as keeping them away from children. The public can voluntarily surrender expired or unwanted drugs for destruction, either prescription or over the counter.  For upcoming dates and times, please call the Plantation Police Outreach Center at 954-916-5601.
