RECYCLING
The City of Plantation requires all non-multifamily residents, single-family homes, townhouses, duplexes and triplexes located outside of Plantation Acres or Maleleuca Isles to use Plantation's Clear Recycling bags.

Collection Services are provided one time per week, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and normally ending by 7:00 p.m., with no services on Sunday or holidays, by placing your recycling into a Clear Recycling bag curbside on your designated day for pickup.

The following items may be mixed, also referred to as commingling. Please remove all caps and rinse containers before placing into the Clear Recycling bag or multifamily container. If caps are not removed, waste is considered contaminated and cannot be recycled.

  • All colored glass except for blue. For broken glass, please wrap the glass in newspaper and then place it in the bag

  • All food cans including tin, steel and aluminum

  • All plastics with recycling number 1, 2, and 3

  • All waxed milk and juice cartons

  • Newspapers. Single-family residents may put newspapers and/or newspaper inserts into a paper bag (do not seal) and place curbside

  • Multi-family residents may use container designated specifically for newspapers and newspaper inserts located on site.

Publix and Winn Dixie Stores in the following packaging and pricing:

The following items can be accepted at the Recycling Drop-off Center. Separate bins are provided for each items. Please remove all caps and rinse containers before placing into the recycling bin. This service is free for residents. Proof of residency required.
