Neighborhood Stabilization Program
As of January 2010, the City of Plantation is not accepting names on our waiting list for this program.
What is the Neighborhood Stabilization Program?
For more information about this program, you may contact:
Broward Alliance for Neighborhood Development (BAND)
Following is the information that the City has submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for NSP:
The City of Plantation will be receiving $1,216,247 in Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City will submit its plan for the use of these funds by March 1, 2011 as required by HUD. NSP 3 funds will not be available to the City until the plan is approved by HUD.
NSP3 requires that the City further assess its community so that funds are directed to areas where the impact of the funding is truly noticeable. The City is currently in the process of reviewing the existing strategies and market conditions and developing a proposal for the allocated NSP3 funds.
The City encourages residents, prospective buyers, real estate agents, housing professionals and all other members of the general public to provide feedback to the City regarding NSP. The City encourages you to submit written comments on the proposed budget and plan that will be posted here in the coming weeks.
Written comments or questions regarding NSP3 can be submitted to Patrick Haggerty. You may also contact 954-797-2622 for additional information about the program.”
