Planning & ZoningCOMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTThe City of Plantation annually receives Community Development Block Grant funds directly from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This funding is primarily targeted at assisting low – to moderate – income families and individuals most notably with expanding the supply of decent, safe and sanitary housing. The City is focusing Community Development Block Grant funding on infrastructure projects primarily in the Eastern portion of Plantation. This funding has enabled the City to create and strengthen relationships with all government levels as well as for-profit and non-profit organizations. Capital Improvements - Current & Past Projects. Public Services – Annually, the City of Plantation grants funds to non-profit agencies that provide services within the community. An application is now available here along with the criteria here, please pay particular attention to the directions as both documents have been revised from last year. Public Service organizations will need to provide additional information. Applications will be due on March 8, 2013.
