This funding is primarily targeted at assisting low – to moderate – income families and individuals most notably with expanding the supply of decent, safe and sanitary housing. The City is focusing Community Development Block Grant funding on infrastructure projects primarily in the Eastern portion of Plantation. This funding has enabled the City to create and strengthen relationships with all government levels as well as for-profit and non-profit organizations. Capital Improvements - Current & Past Projects. Public Services – Annually, the City of Plantation grants funds to non-profit agencies that provide services within the community. Applications are generally announced in February for March submittal. City Council normally reviews these applications in June or July. Rehabilitation Program - Funding for housing repairs for low to moderate income residents of the City of Plantation. Supplemental funds for the SHIP program.
