Golf Course Policies

Etiquette – In the spirit of the game of golf, we expect all players to exhibit the highest standards of personal conduct. We kindly request that players demonstrate their respect for the course, fellow players, and the game itself by repairing ball marks, replacing divots, raking bunkers, and maintaining the proper pace of play.

Pace of Play – In the interest of all, slow play will not be tolerated. All groups are expected to complete play within four hours. Groups falling behind this pace will be warned. A second warning may require that the group pick up their balls and move to their proper position. A third warning may result in the group being asked to leave the golf course with a pro-rated voucher.

Starting Times – Members are able to make starting times seven (7) days in advance. Public players starting times are available five (5) days in advance. Plantation Preserve reserves the right to pair groups with less than four players. Starting times for groups of 12 or more can be made five (5) days in advance with a credit card deposit. Players are encouraged to check in 30 minutes prior to their starting time. All members and guests must check in at the Golf Shop before beginning play.

Cancellations – All reservations become guaranteed 24 hours in advance.

Attire – Appropriate golf attire is required at all times. Gentlemen are required to wear a collared golf shirt with sleeves. No denim. Shorts must be approximately knee length.

Softspike Shoes – Metal or ceramic spikes are prohibited. Players are required to wear shoes equipped with softspikes or spikeless shoes with a flat sole.

Equipment – Each player is required to have his/her own golf clubs. Rental clubs are available.

Golf Carts – All golf carts are equipped with the state-of-the-art GPS system featuring precise yardages.  The 90 degree cart rule will always be in effect unless otherwise posted except for around tees and greens or on all par 3’s where carts are to remain on the path at all times.  Players must have a valid drivers license to operate a golf cart and are fully responsible for any damages resulting from their operation. Walking is not permitted.

Personal Property – Plantation Preserve is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.

Practice Facility – The practice tee and putting green are available for warm-up and practice. Lessons are also available by PGA Professionals.

Replay – Groups which have completed play and wish to play an additional round will be offered a discounted rate if times are available. This is not available for groups booking multiple starting times in advance.

Environmentally Sensitive Areas – Located throughout the golf course and are designated by red stakes with green tips and are NOT to be entered at any time for any reason.  Please respect these areas and follow USGA water hazard relief procedures.

Inclement Weather – When the lightning alarm sounds and you continue playing, you will be playing at your own risk.  If you decide to stop playing, please seek the nearest shelter immediately.  Shelters are located at the clubhouse or holes #5 and #14 tees.  Once you have entered the area around the clubhouse,  you must wait until the all clear signal sounds to continue your round.

Non-players/Spectators – Only golfers are permitted on the course. Any non-player or spectator must be approved and will have to pay a spectator fee.  No one under the age of 16 is permitted on the golf course without adult supervision or the permission of the Golf Shop.
