LINEAR TRAIL

Nature and recreation enthusiasts will walk, hike, jog, bike or inline skate the 1.5-mile Linear Park multi-use recreation trail that winds its way through the golf course and wetlands area, providing a quiet respite from everyday life.  There are two trailheads located on the trail:  one near the 70th Avenue and Broward Boulevard entrance and the second off of East Tropical Way.  Additionally, interpretive signs are located at the beginning and end of the trail, at each of the four trail stops and at the historically significant Tequesta burial mound.

A tot-lot is located at the North trailhead, with playground equipment, swings, a climbing wall and more.  Visitors to the tot-lot or the linear trail can park in the golf course parking lot and walk to the park.  There is no parking at the South entrance, off East Tropical Way.

Visitors and residents alike can take comfort in the knowledge that a large and historically significant parcel of land has been preserved and protected for all to use, including local wildlife.
