Mission Statement
Our goal is to provide high quality, timely service to the Mayor, City Council, City staff, the general public and other agencies. We strive to give our citizens open access to government and to provide quick and accurate documentation and information in a friendly and helpful manner.

Welcome to the Office of the City Clerk. The City Clerk serves as the record custodian for the City and is responsible for the maintenance and storage of all important City documents and records. In conjunction with Administration and other City departments, we prepare the Council agenda and coordinate all backup material. We record, transcribe, distribute and maintain all minutes for City Council meetings as well as the City's other boards and committees. We are responsible for publishing notice of all proposed ordinances. In conjunction with the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, we conduct all City elections. We issue occupational licenses to all Plantation businesses. We conduct information research for City staff and the public. The office also serves as a passport-processing agency.

We are located on the first floor of City Hall. Hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The passport service has limited hours. Please call or stop in whenever we can assist you.
